The sky tore open above Earth. You have one orbit to close it.

NOVAPHASE is a retro side-scrolling space shooter built around one idea: steal the barrage and send it back. Cloak, fly into the pink enemy fire and eat it; drop the cloak and it all comes back as your own volley. Eat too much and the core overloads. Orange fire cannot be eaten, steel walls you can slip through, and your guns cool only while cloaked — so every wave asks how greedy you dare to be.

A story worth flying through

THE OTHER SIGNAL is a 15-mission campaign with a 9-mission epilogue, BEYOND THE BRIDGE. Five locks hold the Rift open, and a fleet stands between you and the first. But that fleet keeps repeating the same eleven-second signal, and your ship’s AI is starting to understand it. Animated briefings with your pilot, your commander and the ship’s AI; missions with reach, scan, escort, hold and break objectives; and five endings decided by what you do out there. Every scene can be skipped.

  • 24 story missions across 8 sectors, each with its own terrain, weather, enemies and boss.
  • 16 boss fights: 8 multi-phase bosses and 8 mid-bosses. The finales transform.
  • 4 ships, 5 primary weapons: Interceptor, Phantom, Bastion, Valkyrie; Pulse, Spread, Wave, Rail and Swarm. Equip rockets, an EMP or a drone.
  • 6 modes: Story, Endless, Daily, Weekly, Boss Rush and Practice.
  • Local co-op: a second pilot can join on the same screen.
  • Build your run: upgrades, option pods, modules and weapon fusion. Spend salvage in the Hangar and climb eight Ascension tiers.
  • Ghosts and DEATH CAM replays, three difficulties, accessibility settings, and English and Spanish.
  • Procedural pixel art and an original synthesized score. Play in your browser on desktop or phone with keyboard, mouse, touch or gamepad.

It’s a very enjoyable game with excellent controls. I would recommend making it so that bullets don’t kill too quickly, as the game becomes tedious when enemies are defeated too fast.

can you make ship into god mode

Thanks! A separate God/Practice mode with an invincible ship is actually a fun idea. I wouldn’t enable it for normal scored runs, but I’ll keep it in mind for a sandbox/practice option.
